Follows the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballerina in a New York City Ballet, whose life, like all in their profession is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her retired ballerina mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) who eagerly supported her daughter career ambition. From top to bottom, this film is at the height of what it means to be real art in cinema. The various elements of the film, the mise-en-scene was so incredible from the filmmakers Darren Aronofsky structured that you need only sit back and marvel at the fluidity of his camera-movement, or the middle of a beautiful shade of color film, The color scheme is largely devoted to the symbolism of black and white has.
